Once Upon A Potty

I bought this DVD for my daughter to see if she would be interested in seeing it, so she can see that potty training is not a bad thing,
she told me after like 2 minutes of watching it to put on Spongebob. She really didn't think it was an interesting DVD. I don't know what to buy so she can see other litle girls use the potty. I have on my TV kids on demand where they have a 15 minutes potty training video, but the video is on showing a boy how to use the potty not a girl.

I really don't know what to get. Is there any Elmo videos or books I can buy, so she can see that he uses the potty too? I really don't know where to begin. If you think you can give me some mommy to mommy tips on this, please contact me Miracle Dreamz.

Thank You!

So here's a little more of what's going on right now: potty training my daughter. It tends to get me frustrated at times, she always ends up doing pee-pee on the floor, after having her sit on her potty for more than a half an hour, while I sat on the floor next to her (Damn, but ass hurts!), but it's helping me, keep me from getting too self-absorbed in my web browsing and posting on my blogs - HA! "She Did It!"

Training my daughter is quite difficult from just changing her diaper; you can't spend hours sitting in the bathroom with her being encouraging. I would never leave the bathroom otherwise. I suggest, I encourage, I spend like 5 minutes in there and show her that after she tinkles, she needs to wash her hands afterwards, but she likes to play with the water, and ends up making big splashes of water all over the place, so I have to hurry and get out, before she catches a temper tantrum. I started printing out some lovely posters I found online for her, and bought stickers with her favorite cartoon characters. She gets (gasp) Ice-Cream & a cheer for her success (my daughter doesn't really eat ice-cream - but I knew it would be okay for her to have one, for this special moment!) The whole experience is quite an overwhelming affair and will most likely take a few weeks to complete. I wish it was over already, but it will happen when it happens (It just began!).

We bought 1 pack of pull-up training pants and some little cute panties. So she can see, that panties are cute to wear instead of diapers. Once she feels she's wet, she doesn't like the feeling, so it's kind of a bigger step for her to see that the whole idea of potty training is so she can be a Big Girl.

But it's more than that - it's the beginning of a new journey in her life.
